Overview
Our TIER IV DataCenter covers an area of 7.000 square meters (over 75,000 square feets).
It is positioned in a seismically quiet location in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, which is at no risk for natural disasters
(no volcanic activity, no hurricanes or tornados, no landslides or floods).
It has been engineered to offer superior performances in a fully-redundant and secure environment.
Its ISO 9001 compliant infrastructure includes:
Security
- closed circuit cameras , 24x7x365 monitoring by on-site security personnel
- management man-trap with h24 surveillance where security personnel verify all persons entering the building
- advanced fire suppression system with a gas based fire retardant
- smoke detection system composed by 400 analogical and 200 laser optical surveyors installed in every facility
- water detection system
Power supply
- two 7 MW independent lines
- 5 conditioned Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) that will prevent interruption in case of power failure
- on-site two-megawatt diesel generators capable of supplying power the entire structure for 24 hours
Connectivity
- Tiscali International Network (TINet), the carrier arm of Tiscali Group, provides connectivity to the Tiscali Services Data Center.
With 150 peering agreements in Europe, USA e Asia, TINet has the third largest IP network in Europe and the second largest IPv6 network worldwide.
Temperature
- fourteen cold water sets to maintain a consistently controlled environment, monitored by a suitable automatic system
